The project SENTINELLA has come to an end on the 29th of June after performing regular COVID-19 tests on a sample of 1922 participants from a population of individuals considered to be ‘sentinels’ of the spread of SARS-CoV-2. The data from the research study has been presented at the ECCMID ‘European Conference of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases’ in July 2021 with the following title: “Active surveillance for early detection of SARS-CoV-2 infections across high-risk community key populations” (P.
