New Project for 2026: BE READY NOW

What could be better than kicking off the new year with a brand new project?   

BE READY NOW - European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness is a new European funded project launched January 1^st 2026.  The project's main goal is to implement the European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness following on from two previous projects BE READY and BE READY PLUS (more info here): 

BE READY NOW gathers 74 organisations from 24 countries, including public funding agencies, public health institutes, clinical networks, ministries and research infrastructures active in pandemic preparedness.

BE READY NOW will establish and sustain an "ever-warm" research ecosystem, capable of pivoting swiftly in response to emerging health threats. This ecosystem will include an innovative, ever-warm EU-wide network of networks of clinical research sites.  

The ID-CARE Team is involved in WP12 - Ever-warm EU wide Network of clinical research sites contributing to the majority of tasks and leading the task 12.5 - Run clinical studies through the Ever-Warm Network of Networks targeting a specific infection in the peacetime with case studies as an exercise for epidemics.

On 15th and 16th January, a kick-off meeting will be held online to provide a comprehensive overview of the whole partnership with particular focus on the work previously carried out in BE READY and BE READY PLUS projects to set the ground for BE READY NOW. The official launch ceremony of the European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness will take place next month (17^th Feb), in Paris.
