Title: European DisCoVeRy for Solidarity: An Adaptive Pandemic and Emerging Infection Platform Trial – EUropean RESearch and Preparedness netwOrk for pandemics and emerging iNfectious diseaSEs


Design: European, multi-centre, randomised, parallel group, phase III, adaptive platform trial on Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) in hospitalized adult patients with moderate or severe COVID-19.

Primary Objective:

  • PART A, moderate COVID-19 disease: to determine the causal effect of IMPs against standard of care on occurrence of disease progression in hospitalized patients with moderate COVID-19

  • PART B, severe COVID-19 disease: to determine the causal effect of IMPs against standard of care on occurrence of death in hospitalized patients with severe or critical COVID-19

Secondary Objective(s):

  • to compare the efficacy of IMPs against standard of care on other core clinical endpoints

  • to compare IMPs against standard of care in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 on major serious adverse events

  • to compare IMPs against standard of care in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 on patient reported outcomes
