Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the European Commission has invested over €602.3 million in research and innovation projects. These projects address the development of diagnostics, treatments, vaccines, epidemiology, preparedness and response to outbreaks, socioeconomics, production and digital technologies as well as the infrastructures and data resources that enable this research. Thanks to participation in projects like ORCHESTRA, EU-Response and VACCELERATE, the University of Verona is now ranked in the top 15 participants in COVID-19 H2020 Projects by EU financial contribution. This is a great achievement not only for the ID-CARE research team led by Prof. Tacconelli but also for Italian research in general.
