ID-CARE team land at ECCMID 2022

Selected members of the ID-CARE team will represent the University of Verona at the upcoming 32nd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases


The congress will take place in Lisbon, Portugal from April 23-26, for the first time as a hybrid event both onsite and online. Our ID-CARE experts will present their latest findings, guidelines and experiences to an audience of over 14,000 colleagues in a comprehensive scientific and educational programme incorporating keynote lectures and oral sessions, as well as educational workshops, open forums, etc. 𝟮𝟯 𝗔𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗟

The first appointment on 23th April is the session dedicated COVID-19 in special populations Hall M at 11:00 (Chair/Interviewer/Moderators/Expert Nicoloas Muelle, Switzerland – Cristina Oprea, Romania) when Dr. 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗶 will present: 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗔𝗥𝗦-𝗖𝗼𝗩-𝟮 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: 𝗮 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮-𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀.

At 14:00 Dr. 𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗶, in Room Fernando Pessa 2, will present: 𝗘𝗣𝗜-𝗡𝗲𝘁 - 𝗘𝗽𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 the European Clinical Research Alliance on Infectious Diseases (Ecraid).

𝟮𝟰 𝗔𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗟

On 24th of April in Hall J at 8:30, Prof. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶 for the session “Supporting evidence in infection prevention and control: 2022 Escmid guidelines”, will present: 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝘆𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗺-𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. The aim of this session is to present the new ECMID guidelines in the field of IPC that are currently under development or recently published introducing the audience to the brand new evidence on IPC. At 11:00 in Hall E, Dr. 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗮 in one- hour session “ 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀” will review the most recent and interesting literature on the topic together with Dr. Joanne M. Langley.

𝟮𝟱 𝗔𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗟

Dr. 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗮 will start at 8:30 in Hall J, during the Session of Escmid Guidelines for the treatment of infection caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negatives, presenting: 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴-𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 and providing the opportunity to review the evidence and present the recommendations in the Guidelines.

At 9:00 in Room Fernando Pessa 2 of Altice Arena, Dr. 𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗶 will take part in the Young Investigator Workshop presenting: T𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗣𝗜 –𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. At 11:00 In Hall A, Prof. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶, as keynote lecturer, will be interviewed by Leonard LIebovici, Israel on the: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵.

And last but not least, in Hall K at 14:45 during the session “Antibiotic stewardship in hospitals and primary care”, Dr. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗲𝘇𝘇𝗮𝗻𝗶 will speak about: 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗣𝗜-𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
