The spread of sexually transmitted infections, particularly among young people, is on the rise. For this reason, the MISTRA Centre (Multidisciplinary Centre for Sexually Transmitted Infections), run by the ID-CARE Team at Borgo Roma General Hospital in Verona, launched the second edition of the Screening Week.

This initiative, now occurring every six months, offers the chance to get tested for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections without an appointment, without the need for a prescription from the GP (General Practitioner) and with respect for the user's privacy.
Participants’ screening results will be published on a dedicated, private online portal and can be accessed directly by the participant using their personal credentials. In case a treatment is necessary, the MISTRA Centre will provide the user with results and therapy indications to follow.
With this initiative, the team hopes to support the local community and to encourage regular testing.
