Updates to the Central Data Repository of the Cohort Coordination Board

  • 2 min read

Earlier this month, updates were made to the Central Data Repository (CDR), managed by the Cohort Coordination Board (CCB). New studies have been added and improvements to the user interface have been introduced.

The CDR offers a comprehensive collection of metadata from cohorts and trialsacross Europe focusing on infectious diseases with epidemic and pandemic potential. The repository is publicly accessible and supports data sharing and coordination in response to emerging health threats. Metadata is presented in Study ID Cards which include details such as the study name, design, participant numbers, enrolment dates, locations, population and setting. Studies can be explored using interactive filters and a map of Europe.

New studies!

The CDR continues to expand its coverage of infectious diseases. Recent updates include:

  • The addition of cohort studies on respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), in collaboration with the PIPELINE project

  • An update to cohort studies on mpox, gonorrhoea, and chlamydia

Improved filters!

A recent improvement to the CDR interface was the enhanced stratification of age categories, allowing users to identify important sub-populations by filtering for:

  • Infants (<1 year)

  • Children (1–11 years)

  • Adolescents (12–17 years)

  • Adults (18–64 years)

  • Elderly (≥65 years)

You can access the CDR here

For further information on why the CDR was created and how to use it, please visit the CDR landing page here.
