Short biography
Dr Roberto Rossotti completed his Infectious Diseases specialisation at the Luigi Sacco Hospital, University of Milan. He worked as a consultant in Infectious Diseases at ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda in Milan, and, since 2026, as Associate Professor at the University of Verona.
His main research interests focus on HIV infection, sexually transmitted infections, and viral hepatitis, with particular attention to prevention strategies, antiretroviral therapy, and clinical management of complex infectious diseases. He has extensive experience in clinical trials and cohort studies, contributing to national and international research initiatives in HIV and related infections.
A key aspect of his work is integrating clinical research with community-based services. Since 2019, he has been actively involved in HIV prevention programs at Milano Checkpoint ETS, a community-based service dedicated to key populations, particularly LGBTQ+ individuals. His work focuses on implementing and evaluating PrEP programs, developing innovative testing strategies, and implementing interventions to improve access to care and prevention among vulnerable populations.
Roberto has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in infectious diseases, with a strong focus on HIV prevention, real-world clinical outcomes, and the intersection of biomedical interventions and community-based healthcare models.
