Launching the research project “Early COVID-19 Vaccine Monitor”

The European Medicines Agency approved and financed the project “Early COVID-19 Vaccine Monitor” in which University of Verona will have a prominent role for pharmacovigilance on COVID-19 vaccines.

In particular, Gianluca Trifirò, Ugo Moretti, professors of the Diagnostics and Public Health department and Riccardo Lora, researcher in the same department, will be Work Package 1 referents that will handle monitoring safeness of COVID-19 vaccines in special patients cohorts like pregnant women, immunocompromised patients, allergic people and patients with prior SARS-Cov-2 infection.

This project will take 2 years, will involve 16 European countries and will work in collaboration with the European project ORCHESTRA, coordinated by Prof. Evelina Tacconelli, director of the Infectious Diseases department.
