Carmela Basanisi

Research Fellow

Carmela is a Research Fellow at the Infectious Diseases Center for trAnslational REsearch (ID-CARE), Department of Diagnostics and Public Health at the University of Verona for the project “By Youth Side! HIV integrated health services for the young population”.

Carmela previously worked as a Research Assistant in the Equity and Health Policy research group at the Department of Global Public Health at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. During her assignment, she contributed to a mixed-methods systematic review titled “Risk factors for infection in older adults who receive home healthcare and/or home help”. She was in charge of data appraisal and data analysis of the included quantitative papers. The manuscript is still ongoing and it will be followed by a publication.
